Gauss meter merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk mengukur kekuatan magnet yang ada pada magnet trap ataupun pada suatu benda logam yang memiliki kekuatan magnet. selain digunakan untuk mengukur kekuatan magnet alat ini juga dapat digunakan untuk menentukan arah kutub selatan dan kutub utara dari sebuah magnet trap.
